We're seeking a passionate health professional who can serve as a trusted primary coach, guiding participants toward meaningful wellness transformations. As our Part Time Health Coach, you'll utilize multiple coaching modalities—including phone, messaging, and group sessions—to help participants achieve their health goals while working with diverse populations and complex cases.

What You\'ll Actually Do

  • Provide expert coaching: Utilize evidence-based strategies including motivational interviewing and appreciative inquiry to support participants in achieving sustainable health and wellness outcomes.
  • Deliver multi-modal support: Strategically engage participants through Personify Health\'s comprehensive approach, combining telephonic sessions with digital messaging for optimal results.
  • Manage complex cases: Support participants with diverse health concerns and backgrounds while maintaining empathetic, flexible, and energetic approach to behavior change.
  • Document and track progress: Maintain proficient electronic documentation to record coaching experiences and track participant outcomes while quickly adapting to new technology systems.
  • Meet performance standards: Achieve individual metrics and KPIs while maintaining accountability for administrative tasks and prepared manager interactions.
  • Ensure security compliance: Maintain system and data security standards, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Personify Health applications while adhering to industry best practices.
Schedule & Training Requirements

Intensive Training Period (First 8 Weeks):

  • Weeks 1-2: Full-time training (40 hours/week, 8am-5pm CT)
    • Dates: October 27 - November 7, 2025
    • No time off permitted during initial training period
  • Weeks 3-8: Continued training + coaching work (up to 8 hours training on specific Wednesdays)
    • Training dates: Nov 12, 19, 26, Dec 3, 10, 17

Ongoing Schedule:

  • Hours: Hours can range 8-40 hours based on business needs, on average employees can expect 15-20 hours per week.
  • Required availability: Monday-Thursday 7am-10pm CT, Friday 7am-6pm CT
  • Required meetings: Wednesdays 1-2pm CT, Thursdays 2-3pm CT
  • Coaching format: 20-minute appointments, often back-to-back, plus messaging throughout shifts

Schedule flexibility: We provide 1-2 weeks notice for any hour increases or decreases. Team members must accept at least 50% of additional hours offered when business needs increase.

Qualifications

What You Bring to Our Mission

The educational foundation:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in health-related field required; Master\'s degree preferred
  • NBHWC or ICF certification strongly encouraged but not required
  • Tobacco cessation certification preferred

The coaching expertise:

  • 3-5 years experience in health-related fields including behavioral health, wellness, exercise training, nutrition coaching, or nursing background
  • 2-4 years experience with individual behavior change management, motivational interviewing, and health coaching
  • Experience conducting individual or group coaching sessions using primary coach model

The technical competencies:

  • Familiarity with digital health apps and web-based software tools for technology-delivered coaching
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook)
  • Ability to troubleshoot technology issues while maintaining participant engagement

The professional qualities:

  • Enthusiastic with positive attitude and solution-oriented approach combined with resilience and adaptability
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for building trust and rapport with diverse participant populations
