Job summary

Riverside Health Care Facilities Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Health Care Aide for Emo Health Centre. The role involves direct resident care under supervision, in a fast-paced healthcare setting, with emphasis on confidentiality and teamwork.

Successful candidates will have a PSW/HCA certificate or equivalent plus related elderly care experience; CPR is an asset. Position starts as soon as possible with wage grid reflecting new rates.

Qualifications

• PSW or HCA certificate/experience acceptable to the Employer.
• Education/courses related to elderly care would be an asset.
• Current CPR certification would be an asset.
• Confidentiality understood and maintained.
• Working knowledge of computer software would be an asset.
• Familiar with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for independent, team, frontline and management settings.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Dependable with a good attendance record.
• Proven ability to perform essential duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Direct care of residents according to the resident care plan under supervision of registered staff.
• Report any changes in resident condition to RN or RPN.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
