Job summary

Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, Ohio, is seeking a part-time Head Softball Coach to lead the program within a Catholic education setting. You will plan practices, coordinate game schedules, oversee equipment, and collaborate with the Athletic Director to ensure compliance with league rules.

Candidates should hold a valid Pupil Activity Permit, be prepared to earn a Coaches’ Tool Chest certification (CPR/First Aid, Fundamentals of Coaching, concussion and mental health trainings), and pass

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Valid Pupil Activity Permit, as issued by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
Will obtain and maintain a Coaches’ Tool Chest certification; it includes CPR, First Aid, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Training, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training, Mental Health Training.
Successful BCI and FBI background checks and VIRTUS certified or willing to be certified.

Responsibilities

Develops and leads the softball program with integrity within a Catholic education setting.
Oversees scheduling, transportation, facilities, and equipment for practices and games.
Enforces rules and manages team discipline in coordination with the Athletic Director.
Promotes the Catholic values and mission of the school in all activities.
