Job Description
Reporting to the Health, Physical Education, & Recreation (HPER) Program Coordinator, under the supervisor of the Athletic Director (AD), the Head Coach’s duties will include being responsible for all aspects of coaching, recruiting, and administering of the Varsity Baseball Program along with being a relentless supporter of Lorain County Community College and its athletics department. This coach will be responsible for leading the baseball program. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and coaching student-athletes.
- Monitoring student-athlete academic performance.
- Commitment to academic integrity and student-athlete welfare.
- Developing and managing the program’s budget.
- Fund-raising to support the program’s operational budget.
- Hire, supervise, and develop assistant coaches.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Three years coaching & recruiting experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated recruiting and retention success at a higher educational institution. Solid administrative skills with the ability to communicate and motivate staff to achieve goals. Willingness to interact comfortably with individuals and constituency groups that are crucial to the advancement of the baseball program along with the department and institution. Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record. Associate degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate recruiting experience. Bachelor’s degree or higher.
