Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Proactively engage with customers, recommend products and services.
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers across registers.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products.
• Thank customers and invite them back.

Customer Service

• Deliver SMART customer service, following Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer and employee questions.
• Express genuine appreciation to customers.
• Inform customers about stock, warranties, and features.
• Train and coach team members in departmental duties and sales.
• Use cash registers for transactions, returns, and refunds.
• Handle cash accurately and support front-end team.
• Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers as needed.
• Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end, check equipment, stock supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise.
• Enter customer orders, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
• Manage online orders and returns.
• Verify prices and look up product info.
• Record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
• Monitor store entrances/exits for security.
• Detect shoplifting and communicate risks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Operate store equipment as required.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs.
• Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe's store departments.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in shoplifting detection.
