Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers
• Proactively recommend products and services to customers
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers
• Move throughout the checkout area to ensure accurate transactions
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service per Lowe's policies
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise
• Respond promptly to customer and employee questions
• Show sincere appreciation to customers
• Communicate product and warranty information
• Train and coach associates in departmental duties
• Process sales, returns, and refunds using a cash register
• Support front-end team with supervision and coaching
• Handle merchandise tagging, verification, and bagging
• Answer calls and assist with register coverage

In-stock

• Prepare register area at start and end of shifts
• Inspect returned merchandise
• Manage online orders and returned items
• Verify prices and record store item usage

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash drawers and store entrances/exits for security
• Detect and report shoplifting or security risks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization
• Follow safety procedures and operate store equipment

General

• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology
• 1-2 years retail cashier experience
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs assessment
• Experience as a head cashier and in retail departments
• Supervisory experience
• Experience detecting shoplifting
