Essential Functions:

Customer Assistance and Engagement
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
- Approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services proactively.
- Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across various registers.
- Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
- Provide SMART customer service adhering to Lowe's policies and programs.
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects if needed.
- Express sincere appreciation to customers.
- Inform customers about stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
- Coach, develop, provide feedback, and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
- Use a cash register for sales, returns, and refunds following company guidelines.
- Provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates.
- Supervise, coach, and support CSA Front End Team (Front End/Loaders).
- Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
- Answer calls and direct or take messages as needed.
- Open additional registers when necessary to ensure coverage.
- Assist in line vesting to speed up checkout.
In-stock
- Prepare register area at start/end of shift, check functionality, and stock supplies.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Enter and submit customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign off on loading tickets.
- Review and process online orders and returns.
- Verify prices and look up product info and competitor prices for price matching.
- Record items used in the store on the store use lists.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Obtain safety bags and monitor cash in drawers.
- Monitor store entrances/exits for security, assist customers or associates triggering alarms.
- Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks; report promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization per housekeeping standards.
- Ensure a safe work environment, conduct safety reviews, and secure hazards.
- Follow safety requirements for stock safety, equipment use, and safety devices.
- Operate store equipment as needed based on role and department.
General
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year experience with computers (inputting, accessing, modifying, outputting information).
- Less than 1 year experience with retail technology (smartphones, tablets).
- 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years experience in product sales based on customer needs, including credit, add-ons, protection plans, warranties.
- 1-2 years as a head cashier.
- 1-2 years working in Lowe’s or similar retail departments.
- 1-2 years supervisory experience, including training and coaching staff.
- Less than 1 year experience detecting shoplifting signs.
