Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
- Proactively approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services.
- Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers.
- Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service consistent with Lowe's policies.
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
- Show sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicate product and service information effectively.
- Train and develop associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
- Use cash registers for transactions, returns, and refunds following guidelines.
- Provide change and support to Front End associates.
- Supervise and support Front End Team members.
- Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise.
- Answer and direct phone calls as needed.
- Open additional registers to ensure adequate coverage.
- Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout.
In-stock
- Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and stock supplies.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Manage customer orders, receipts, and loading tickets.
- Review and place online orders and returns.
- Verify prices and look up product information for price matches.
- Record store usage items.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
- Assist with security and alarm triggers.
- Detect shoplifting and communicate risks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure safety standards and operate store equipment as needed.
General
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year of experience with computer use.
- Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
- 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodations.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs assessment.
- Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe's store departments.
- Supervisory experience including training and coaching.
- Experience in shoplifting detection.
