Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out
- Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers.
- Proactively approach and engage customers to recommend products and services.
- Greet, assist, and engage with customers across multiple registers.
- Move within the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and handling products.
- Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.
Customer Service
- Deliver SMART customer service following Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
- Show sincere appreciation to customers.
- Inform customers about stock, special orders, features, warranties, and benefits.
- Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales.
- Use cash registers for transactions, returns, and refunds per guidelines.
- Provide change to front-end associates.
- Supervise and support front-end team members.
- Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Open additional registers as needed.
- Assist with line vesting for quicker checkout.
In-stock
- Prepare register area at shifts' start and end, checking functionality and stocking supplies.
- Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
- Handle customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
- Review and process online orders and returns.
- Verify prices and look up product info for price matching.
- Record store-use items.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
- Oversee store entrances/exits, assist with alarms.
- Detect shoplifting and security risks, report to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure safety compliance, including safety equipment and procedures.
- Operate store equipment as needed.
General
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology.
- 1-2 years retail cashier experience.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodations.
Preferences:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs.
- Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments.
- Supervisory experience, including coaching and training.
- Experience detecting shoplifting.
