Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
• Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
• Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
• Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions
• Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s

Customer Service:

• Provides excellent customer service through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
• Communicates product information, including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties
• Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates
• Supports and coaches the CSA Front End Team
• Handles security tags, verifies product info, and bags merchandise
• Answers and directs incoming phone calls
• Opens additional registers when needed to ensure adequate coverage
• Assists in line vesting for quicker checkout turnaround

In-stock:

• Prepares the register area at the start and end of shifts, confirming functionality and stocking supplies
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets
• Reviews and manages online orders and returns
• Looks up product info and price matches
• Records store use items

Clean and Safe Stores:

• Monitors cash and security measures, including alarms and shoplifting signs
• Maintains store cleanliness and organization
• Ensures a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and securing premises
• Operates store equipment as needed

General:

• Performs additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computer use
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years experience in product sales and customer needs assessment
• 1-2 years as a head cashier
• 1-2 years in Lowe’s store departments
• 1-2 years supervisory experience
• Less than 1 year experience in shoplifting detection
