Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers
• Interact proactively with customers to recommend products and services
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers at multiple registers
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies and procedures
• Assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise
• Respond promptly to questions and guide customers through projects
• Express sincere appreciation to customers
• Inform customers about stock, special orders, features, and warranties
• Train and coach associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds on the cash register
• Provide change to front-end associates
• Support and coach the front-end team
• Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise
• Answer and direct phone calls
• Open additional registers when needed
• Assist with line vesting for quicker checkout

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end, check functionality, and restock supplies
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages
• Manage customer orders and verify receipts
• Review and process online orders and returns
• Look up product info and price match
• Record store item usage

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash in drawers and obtain safety bags
• Observe store entrances/exits for security and assist with alarms
• Detect shoplifting and communicate risks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization
• Ensure a safe work environment, including safety reviews and hazard reporting
• Operate store equipment as required

General

• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in product sales and customer needs assessment
• Experience as a head cashier
• Experience working in Lowe's
• Supervisory experience
• Experience detecting shoplifting
