Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Interact proactively with customers, recommending products and services.
• Greet, assist, and engage with customers across multiple registers.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service following Lowe's policies.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Respond promptly to questions and guide customers through projects.
• Show genuine appreciation to customers.
• Communicate product and service information effectively.
• Train and coach team members in departmental duties and sales.
• Process transactions using a cash register according to guidelines.
• Handle cash accurately and support front-end team.
• Remove security tags, verify products, and bag merchandise.
• Answer phone calls and manage register coverage.
• Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end, check equipment, and stock supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Manage customer orders and verify receipts.
• Handle online orders and returns appropriately.
• Verify prices and record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
• Oversee merchandise entering/exiting, assist with alarms.
• Detect shoplifting and communicate risks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure safety compliance and operate store equipment.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of computer experience.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

Preferences

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales and customer needs assessment.
• Experience as a head cashier and in retail departments.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in shoplifting detection.
