Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers.
• Proactively greet and assist customers, recommending products and services.
• Engage with customers across multiple registers simultaneously.
• Ensure accurate transactions while moving throughout the checkout area.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Deliver SMART customer service consistently.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer and employee questions, providing store tours if needed.
• Show genuine appreciation to customers.
• Inform customers about stock, warranties, and Lowe’s programs.
• Train and coach team members in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales, returns, and refunds using a cash register.
• Support front-end team with supervision and coaching.
• Handle security tags, product verification, and bagging.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Open additional registers as needed.
• Assist with line vesting for quicker checkout.

In-stock

• Prepare register area at shift start/end, check equipment, stock supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Enter customer orders, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
• Manage online orders and returned merchandise.
• Verify prices and record store item usage.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitor cash and obtain safety bags.
• Assist with security at entrances/exits and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
• Operate store equipment as required.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and explaining product features.
• Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments.
• Supervisory experience including training and coaching.
• Experience in shoplifting detection.

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.85 per hour.
