Essential Functions:

Assisted Self Check Out

• Monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
• Proactively approach and interact with customers to recommend products and services appropriately.
• Greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers across registers at the same time.
• Move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Thank customers and invite them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provide SMART customer service, adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise based on their needs.
• Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects when needed.
• Show sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicate product information, including stock, special orders, features, applications, and warranties.
• Coach, develop, and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Use a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds following company guidelines.
• Provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates.
• Supervise, coach, and support CSA Front End Team members.
• Remove security tags, verify product info, and bag merchandise for customers.
• Answer calls and direct or take messages as needed.
• Open additional registers when necessary to ensure coverage.
• Assist in line vesting to improve checkout speed.

In-stock

• Prepare the register area at the start and end of shifts, checking functionality and stocking supplies.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages.
• Manage customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts, and sign loading tickets.
• Review and process online orders and returns appropriately.
• Look up product info and competitor prices for price matching.
• Record store items on use lists.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Obtain safety bags and monitor cash in drawers.
• Monitor store entrances/exits and assist with alarms.
• Detect shoplifting and communicate risks to management or Asset Protection.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization per housekeeping standards.
• Ensure a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
• Follow safety requirements related to job duties and operate store equipment as needed.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, credit, installations, warranties, and customer needs assessment.
• Experience as a head cashier or in various store departments.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in shoplifting detection.
