Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
• Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately
• Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
• Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate transactions
• Thanks customers for their business and invites them back to Lowe’s

Customer Service:

• Provides excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Responds promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects when needed
• Shows sincere appreciation to customers
• Communicates product information, warranties, and features related to Lowe’s programs
• Coaches, develops, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to guidelines
• Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates
• Supports and coaches the CSA Front End Team
• Removes security tags, verifies product info, and bags merchandise
• Answers calls and manages store communications
• Opens additional registers as needed to ensure coverage
• Assists in line vesting for quicker checkout

In-stock:

• Prepares register area at start and end of shifts, checking functionality and stocking supplies
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters customer orders, verifies receipts, and manages loading tickets
• Reviews and processes online orders and returns
• Looks up product info and verifies price matches
• Records store use items

Clean and Safe Stores:

• Monitors cash and safety bags, ensuring proper amounts
• Oversees store entrances/exits for security, assisting customers or staff as needed
• Detects theft and communicates risks to management
• Maintains store cleanliness and organization
• Ensures safety compliance and operates store equipment as required

General:

• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers and retail technology
• 1-2 years retail cashier experience
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in product sales, customer needs assessment, and warranty explanations
• Experience as a head cashier or in a Lowe’s store
• Supervisory experience
