Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out:
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers who need assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
• Approaches and interacts with customers to proactively recommend products and services appropriately.
• Proactively greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time.
• Moves throughout the checkout area standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving product to ensure accurate completion of transactions.
• Thanks the customer for their business and invites them back to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provides excellent customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coaches, develops, provides feedback, and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines.
• Provides proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities.
• Provides supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team (Front End/Loaders).
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise for customers.
• Answers incoming calls and directs or takes messages as needed.
• Opens additional registers when necessary to ensure adequate coverage.
• Assists in line vesting to help quicker checkout turnaround.

In-stock

• Prepares register area at shift start and end by confirming functionality and stocking supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Enters and submits customer orders, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets.
• Reviews and processes online orders and returned merchandise.
• Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching.
• Records store use items on the store use lists.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitors cash drawers and obtains safety bags from the cash office.
• Monitors store entrances/exits for security and assists customers or associates triggering alarms.
• Detects signs of shoplifting and communicates risks to management or Asset Protection.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization per housekeeping standards.
• Ensures a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
• Adheres to safety requirements relevant to specific job duties.
• Operates store equipment as needed.

General

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of experience with computers.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in identifying and selling products, including warranties and add-ons.
• Experience as a head cashier and in Lowe’s store departments.
• Supervisory experience in any field.
• Experience recognizing shoplifting signs.
