Job summary

SUNY Ulster, a two-year campus in the Catskills, invites applications for Head Baseball Coach. This role oversees the organization and administration of the baseball program and reports to the Director of Athletics/ Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.

The successful candidate will coach, recruit, manage travel, fundraise, and ensure compliance with NCAA/NJCAA rules while promoting the health and welfare of student-athletes and academic excellence.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of NCAA or NJCAA regulations.
• Ability to recruit college level student athletes.
• Previous coaching experience.
• Commitment to academic excellence including athlete graduation.
• Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public.
• Capable and willing to plan and participate in fundraising, promotions, and related activities.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, recruiting, team travel, and baseball operations.
• Fundraising and public relations for the baseball program and Athletics Department.
• Ensure compliance with university, NJCAA/NCAA rules and regulations.
• Operate within the program budget and support student-athlete well-being.
• Lead department-wide fundraising and promotional efforts.
