Job summary

The Navy Exchange Service Command is seeking a part-time Sales Associate - Hardlines to greet customers, understand their needs, and guide them to merchandise. You will learn product features, operate the Point-of-Sale system, and handle transactions with accuracy.

You will keep the store organized, participate in inventory and pricing tasks, support promotions, and provide responsive service. This role requires a friendly, team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work varied hours, including

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to multi-task while serving customers and team members.
• Higher level literacy and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers to assess needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform about promotions.
• Maintain store appearance and organize stock as needed.
• Cross-sell and upsell products based on customer needs.
• Use a Point-of-Sale system for transactions and recordkeeping.
• Complete paperwork and reports as required.
