Job summary

The Manchester YMCA is seeking a dynamic part-time gymnastics instructor to lead Parent & Child Gymnastics classes in Richmond, VA. You will run practices, teach basic skills, and help children develop coordination, flexibility, strength, and confidence while prioritizing safety.

Ideal candidates will enjoy working with kids aged 5-11, plan engaging lessons, and support fellow staff. First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are desired but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to instruct and spot school age children in basic gymnastics skills.
• Ability to observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply policies.
• Must be willing to learn spotting and teaching techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead Parent & Child Gymnastics classes and run practices.
• Teach basic gymnastics skills and foster growth in coordination, flexibility, strength, and confidence.
• Create lesson plans for youth 5-11 and support other gymnastics staff.
