Job summary

University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center seeks a part-time General X-Ray Machine Operator (GXMO) to perform diagnostic imaging under physician protocol.

Responsibilities include maintaining licensure, following safety guidelines, and collaborating with Radiology staff to ensure high-quality exams for diverse patient populations. The role requires GXMO licensure upon hire and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• GXMO license with Ohio Department of Health required upon hire.
• Active BLS certification required upon hire.
• Current student in final radiologic technology year or GXMO education.
• Ability to follow imaging protocols and safety guidelines.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic radiographs per physician protocol.
• Follow patient identification and safety procedures.
• Maintain GXMO licensure and continuing education requirements.
• Collaborate with radiology staff to complete assignments professionally.
• Provide age-specific care from neonates to geriatrics.
• Operate within OH HDO scope; no fluoroscopy or portable exams.
• Enter correct billing codes and assist with department readiness.
