Job summary

Bach to Rock is seeking a part-time Guitar Teacher to provide music lessons for students of all ages. You will use the B2R curriculum to teach theory and technique, helping students become confident performers who enjoy playing, recording in our studio, and even composing their own music.

Responsibilities include private and semi-private lessons, creating a positive learning atmosphere, evaluating students for band readiness, and assisting at school events. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of music concepts and ability to explain them to students.
• Advanced understanding of music theory and technique for primary instrument.
• Strong time management and organization to keep students on task.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities.
• Experience performing (solo or group) and with youth.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble
• Assist at school events
• May repair equipment as needed and able.
