Job summary

Bach To Rock is looking for a part-time Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons using the B2R curriculum. You’ll help students develop skills that support performing, recording in our studio, and composing original music.

The position offers flexible hours with scheduling handled by our admin team and access to the recording studio. Prior experience with youth and performance is preferred, and applicants must pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of music concepts and ability to communicate them to students.
• Advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to primary instrument.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.
• Experience as a performer (solo or group).
• Experience working with youth/beginning musicians.
• Ability to interact effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble.
• Assist at school events.
• May repair equipment as needed.
