Job summary

Learning Grove in Cincinnati is seeking an energetic Group Leader for the Afterschool Program at Bramble Elementary. This part-time role focuses on leadership, supervision, and creating a safe, engaging environment for students after school hours.

You will work with the Afterschool Coordinator to monitor attendance, assist with homework, supervise snacks and transitions, and communicate with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise children during daily activities and enrichment programs.
• Monitor student and staff attendance.
• Provide homework assistance and communicate concerns when needed.
• Supervise snacks and meals.
• Escort and supervise children during activities and transitions.
• Encourage positive behavior, manners, and appropriate discipline.
• Maintain communication with program staff, parents, school personnel, and community partners.
• Attend required meetings, training, and professional development.
• Complete accurate timesheets and required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking an energetic, dependable Group Leader to provide leadership and supervision in our Afterschool Program. This role works closely with the Afterschool Coordinator/Site Manager to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise children during daily activities and enrichment programs
• Monitor student and staff attendance
• Provide homework assistance and communicate concerns when needed
• Supervise snacks and meals
• Escort and supervise children during activities and transitions

Qualifications

• Ability to pass required local and federal background checks and pre-employment drug screening
• Must complete 10 hours of Ohio-approved training annually
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with children is preferred
