Job summary

City of Englewood seeks an energetic Group Fitness Instructor to join our recreation team and lead SilverSneakers classes. You will design engaging workouts and tailor programs for all fitness levels in a welcoming community setting, ensuring safety and proper technique.

The ideal candidate holds a nationally recognized group fitness certification and SilverSneakers, CPR/AED current (or within 6 months), and has at least two years of related experience in fitness programming.

Qualifications

• Must design innovative, fun, and challenging workouts for all levels.
• Strong knowledge of fitness programming principles and practices.
• Ability to work with a diverse clientele in a group setting.
• Willingness to include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Design class format and lead patrons through safe workouts with proper technique.
• Inspire and empower individuals to achieve fitness goals.
• Communicate effectively to colleagues and the public.
• Provide exercise modifications for all levels and needs.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings; promote the fitness department at events.
