Norfolk Yacht & Country Club in Norfolk, VA is seeking an energetic Part-Time Group Exercise Instructor with a strong background in strength training and HIIT-style classes. You’ll substitute for the 5:30 AM and 9:00 AM sessions throughout the week and have the opportunity to develop and grow your own classes based on your expertise and interests.

Qualifications

• Current, recognized Group Exercise Certification required.
• Proven experience instructing strength training and HIIT-style group fitness classes.
• Multiple group fitness certifications preferred.
• Personal Training Certification is a plus, with opportunities to build a personal training clientele.

Responsibilities

• Lead group exercise classes according to schedule
• Demonstrate proper techniques and ensure participant safety during all activities
• Motivate and encourage participants to achieve their fitness goals
• Monitor class attendance and provide feedback to improve session quality
• Maintain a clean and organized workout space
• Stay updated on current fitness trends and incorporate new techniques into classes
• Promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants
