Position Summary: Assists in the overall maintenance of synthetic turf sports field, The Home Depot Backyard, and stadium grounds.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Participates in the operation and care of field and grounds equipment.
2. Performs general grounds maintenance in and around Mercedes Benz Stadium.
3. Assists with pre- and post-game field maintenance.
4. Participates in all types of sports field maintenance labor such as mowing/grooming, synthetic & natural grass cultural/maintenance practices, painting/paint removal, and field layout.
5. Participates in inclement weather readiness and execution.
6. Performs related duties as required and assists other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and operate grounds maintenance equipment.
• Physical ability to lift 30+ pounds and stand for long periods.
• Experience in groundskeeping or field painting is preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of natural and synthetic grass maintenance.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in sports turf maintenance.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and vendors.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Tools & Equipment: Phone, grounds equipment, radio, vehicles, and related tools.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing and walking.
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

About Mercedes Benz Stadium: Located in Atlanta, maintaining a 40-acre property including synthetic surfaces and the Home Depot Backyard. Hosts major sports and entertainment events.
