Wytheville Community College is seeking a part-time Groundskeeper to maintain grounds, assist with office/classroom setups, and support building maintenance. The role includes mowing, trimming, snow/ice removal, and operating various equipment. CPR/First Aid/AED training is required or to be obtained.

Schedule is mostly Tue–Fri, 7 am–4 pm, averaging 29 hours per week, with duties that emphasize teamwork, punctuality, and excellent customer service to students and staff.

Qualifikationen

• High school education or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of basic trades.
• Ability to operate tractors, mowers, trucks, forklifts, and snowplows.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and respond to changing operational needs.

Aufgaben

• Assist in care of grounds: mowing, trimming trees and shrubs, snow/ice removal.
• Assist moving furniture for office/classroom changes and setups for events.
• Assist with basic building maintenance: maintenance, light bulb changes.
• Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED training.
• Attend trainings, punctual attendance, teamwork and safety meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, faculty, and the public.
