Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking an Operations Agent at the gate to help flights stay on time and ensure customers are cared for from check-in to boarding.

You’ll collaborate with Ramp, Operations and Crew, manage weight and balance details, communicate with gate teams, and support the daily flow of departures at the Jackson airport. This part-time role includes training and union guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all Customers.
• Works in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of the Company.
• Coordinate ground operations to ensure on-time departures and quick turnarounds.
• Open and close stations, communicate with Dispatch and Gate Agents as needed.
• Prepare dispatch documents and weather reports for Crew.
• Coordinate fueling, weight & balance, and flight paperwork as required.
