Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a part-time Grocery Stocker in Baton Rouge, LA to maintain stock levels and uphold food safety standards. You will display products, handle pallets, and assist customers with questions and price checks.

Key duties include rotating dated items, keeping shelves stocked, and promoting sales through friendly, proactive service. Positions require flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate pallet jack (manual or electric) safely.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Customer-focused attitude and willingness to help fellow partners.

Responsibilities

• Maintains full stock conditions on grocery display racks and shelves.
• Operates pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reloads trucks with return items.
• Ensures dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly if unsold.
• Inspects product for quality and maintains quality control and food safety standards.
• Collects empty boxes and other trash and places into bailer.
• Responds to price check questions and exchanges and/or locating product.
• Promotes product sales through suggestive selling initiatives.
• Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints.
• Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
