Job summary

ShopRite in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a Receiver to deliver a great customer experience by ensuring accurate receiving of deliveries and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse. You will protect company assets by verifying invoices and handling inventory per policy, while supporting daily operations on the shop floor.

The role requires physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures. Part-time, non-union with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to stand/walk during shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs, occasionally 50 lbs.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and/or processed foods without allergy issues.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Customer-friendly and cooperative.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grocery storage area clean, neat, and organized for next shift.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy, prioritizing perishables.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail, and quantity accuracy.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Follow safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Follow safety procedures for opening cartons and product rotation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Dress according to policy, wear uniform and name badge.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise.
• Stand at the work station for the shift duration.
• Check prices and know item locations.
• Complete required department training programs.
• Work overtime as assigned.
