Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a part-time checker in Ohio to join our store team. This role offers 20-25 hours per week with shifts from 8am-10:30pm or 2pm-10pm and requires weekend availability. The position emphasizes friendly service, accurate checkout, and cash handling in a busy grocery environment.

Training occurs at the store level. Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds and staying on your feet for 4-8 hours per shift. Schnucks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and friendly customer service required.
• Ability to process cash, checks, debit/credit, EBT, and other payments accurately.
• Knowledge of store coupons and produce items preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order.
• Check out customer’s purchases accurately.
• Identify produce items and use produce/product codes correctly.
• Distinguish Schnucks coupons from manufacturer coupons and process them.
• Collect correct amount due and handle payments securely.
• Complete register records accurately and maintain cash security.
• Bag customer orders and manage receipt/coupon tapes.
• Other duties may be assigned by store management.
