Job summary

The University of Georgia is hiring a Greenhouse & Garden/Grounds Assistant for the PSO-State Botanic Garden of GA. Position is up to 19 hours per week, with duties in greenhouse care, propagation, and outdoor nursery maintenance.

You will work alongside the Greenhouse Manager to maintain three greenhouses and an outdoor nursery, gaining hands-on experience while performing planting, weeding, watering, and related tasks in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Greenhouse and maintenance experience.
• Basic plant propagation (seed sowing, seed collection, asexual propagation).

Responsibilities

• Greenhouse care and maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing, propagation, cleaning pots, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assistants work with the Greenhouse Manager to operate three production greenhouses and an outdoor nursery.
