Job summary

The College of Southern Maryland is seeking dynamic, part-time adjunct Graphic Design faculty for the La Plata Campus to teach Graphic Design I and II in Fall and Spring Semesters. Evening availability is preferred, but all qualified applicants are welcome.

CSM emphasizes helping students learn through a variety of teaching methods and technologies. A Master’s degree in the discipline OR a Master’s in any field with 15 related hours (or equivalent experience) is required, and teaching experience

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the discipline of instruction OR Master's in any field AND 15 hours in the discipline OR sufficient experience in lieu of either requirement.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Enthusiasm for student learning; adapt teaching methods including new technologies.
• Subject matter/content expertise in your field.

Responsibilities

• Teach Graphic Design I and II to support program outcomes.
• Implement diverse teaching methods and assess student learning.
• Collaborate with the department on curriculum and assessments.
