Job summary

Huron-Clinton Metroparks is seeking personnel for park golf course maintenance. The role operates reel mowers on greens, tees, and fairways and handles various grounds duties across a 7‑day schedule in all weather conditions.

The position requires flexibility for weekends, evenings and holidays, plus the ability to maneuver in sandy, marshy or wooded terrain while loading and transporting materials as needed.

Job description

PAY RATE:

$14.45 per hour DOQ (up to 1,500 hours per year). Eligible part-time employees will receive up to $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Click here for details.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Work activities in this position primarily involve the maintenance of the park golf course. Metropark golf courses are a 7‑day per week operation in many types of weather and top candidates should have a reasonable amount of availability for scheduling purposes.

• Lake Erie Metropark is a 7‑day per week operation. It is expected that staff will be available to work as scheduled. At the same time, the parks are weather dependent, which may result in cancelled or shortened work schedules as necessary.
