Job summary

Prince William Golf Course, part of Troon, is hiring a part-time Grounds Crew to maintain the golf course and surrounding landscaping. The role involves operating mowers, irrigation, and applying fertilizers to keep the course in top condition, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position offers a pay range of $15.00–$17.00 per hour and opportunities to learn and advance within a hospitality-focused property organization, supporting a global leader in golf and community management.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience with operating greens and fairway mowers preferred.
• Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course, including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping.
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Ability to give oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as needed.
• Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
