Job summary

The Institute for Global Studies at the University of Minnesota seeks part-time teaching specialists and/or lecturers for undergraduate courses. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field with emphasis in assigned course/workshop; demonstrated successful teaching at a four-year college/university.
• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree preferred; three years of full-time teaching experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as instructor of record for assigned courses; prepare and conduct classes, hold office hours, evaluate student performance, submit grades.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development; stay current with the field of instruction.
• May supervise graduate teaching assistants, coordinate internships, monitor student progress, and maintain community partnerships.
