Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care in Frisco, TX is seeking a part-time Wound Care Specialist (1-3 days per week) to round at multiple facilities within a designated territory. MD or DO with active license preferred; Board Certification welcomed; valid driver’s license required.

The role involves bedside wound care in post-acute settings, rounding at multiple facilities, wound debridement, dressing prescriptions, and collaborating with facility staff and primary care teams.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)
• Board Certification preferred (Family Practice or Internal Medicine)
• Valid state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Deliver wound care at the bedside in post-acute care settings
• Round daily at multiple facilities within designated territory
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings
• Educate nursing staff and coordinate with primary care physicians and families
• Order medications and provide clear usage instructions
• Provide quality care to geriatric patients
