Job summary

PRN Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy is seeking a Part time Physical Therapist Assistant to partner with patients on restoring motion and maximizing quality of life. Travel between facilities is required, with 85% productivity and rate negotiable based on experience.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with physicians and care teams, and ongoing professional development in a geriatric care setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Associate of Science degree as a PTA.
• Licensed by the New York State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Ability to document patient care and maintain records.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to travel 15–20 minutes between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate PT techniques and treat patients effectively with good response.
• Provide accurate daily patient records and billing-related documentation.
• Communicate with physicians, POA, nurses and therapy staff as needed.
• Attend patient meetings and maintain professional patient interactions.
• Assist in improving department operations and lead when appropriate.
