Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. in Greenville, SC seeks a Part-Time Geotechnical Soils and Concrete Laboratory Technician to support our AASHTO and CCRL accredited lab.

You will report to the Lab Manager and contribute to maintaining high quality standards across tests and procedures. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and capable of independent work or leading a project team.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Detail-oriented with strong time-management.
• Basic MS Office (Word & Excel) proficiency.
• Good handwriting.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently or lead a project team.
• Effective verbal and written communication with team and BLE leadership.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory sample receipt and processing.
• Demolding cylinders.
• Writing Lab IDs.
• Reading a tape measure and calipers.
• Using a square and/or straight-edge ruler.
• Preparing proctors (drying dirt in pans).
• Performing basic soil and concrete tests.
• Learning tests such as soil/aggregate testing and concrete strength testing.
