Job Description:

Clearance Needed: Secret

Are you ready for a challenge in data analytics? Do you have experience applying geospatial methodology to develop dashboards for big data solutions? Imagine working on critical missions alongside seasoned professionals. Parsons is hiring a remote, part-time Geospatial Software Engineer passionate about innovation and solving challenges to support our Indo-Pacific customer.

Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and meet objectives; interact with data vendors, users, and developers to build and manage a low code/no code data visualization dashboard (Common Operating Picture, COP).
  2. Work with a cross-functional team to develop robust ETL pipelines and automated data workflows for geospatial data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  3. Maintain a basic understanding of AWS and ESRI software.
  4. Support and improve codebases for data ingestion, validation, search indexing, and metadata; design procedures for geospatial data acquisition, cleaning, and conversion.
  5. Use Python, HTML, Arcade, JavaScript (React framework) to update ArcGIS applications.
  6. Create documentation such as user manuals and technical updates.
  7. Educate and mentor users to interpret data effectively for independent decision-making.
  8. Work independently to solve complex problems with excellent communication skills.
  9. Maintain organizational and planning skills for project tracking.
  10. Able to work PST/PDT hours.
  11. Hold an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Required Education/Experience:
  1. 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; experience may substitute for degree.
  2. 5+ years working in a collaborative, multi-skilled team environment on data automation.
  3. Well-versed in data visualization tools like ArcGIS.
Preferred Experience:
  1. Supporting INDOPACOM or US Army customers.
  2. Supporting INDOPACOM intelligence and operations.
  3. Familiarity with AWS and Cloud architecture.
  4. Knowledge of data analytics, science, and engineering concepts.
  5. Understanding of ETL processes.
Minimum Clearance Required to Start:

Secret

Salary Range:

$86,700.00 - $151,700.00
