Position Overview

This position, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or designee, is responsible for non-mechanical maintenance assistance.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct daily maintenance inspections of each facility in the complex;
  • Report service and maintenance needs daily;
  • Secure and monitor maintenance tools;
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance materials;
  • Facilitate purchasing of maintenance supplies;
  • Coordinate maintenance services for residents;
  • Instruct and supervise material handling safety for residents;
  • Participate in mandatory training and staff development;
  • Maintain clearance through contracting agencies;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills

Preferred advanced technical training and demonstrated skills for maintaining heat, air, safety, and sanitation in a residential facility.

Knowledge

In-depth understanding of all facility maintenance processes.

Abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication;
  • Ability to operate effectively in an offender-populated environment;
  • Follow instructions and complete tasks timely;
