Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home in Avondale, AZ seeks a part-time Funeral Service Associate to support funeral services. You will assist directors, transport families in a limousine, and handle related logistics such as flowers and transfers of the deceased.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Insurable driving record and be insurable under the Diocesan insurance provider.
• Able to adhere to professional dress code policy and work flexible hours.
• Excellent communication skills; no lifting restrictions.
• Two years customer service experience; experience in a Funeral Home setting desirable.
• On-call to work evenings and Saturdays are required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; practicing Catholic in good standing preferred.

Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home is seeking part-time Funeral Service Associates to assist with its funeral ministry at our Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral Home in Avondale, AZ. This individual will assist funeral directors on services; drive company vehicles for service-related tasks, including transportation of family in a limousine, transporting flowers, work receptions and transferring deceased from place of death.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Arizona driver’s license; have an insurable driving record and be insurable under the Diocesan insurance provider; must be able to adhere to our professional dress code policy and work flexible hours; possess excellent communication skills and have no lifting restrictions. Previous experience in a Funeral Home setting highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
• two years customer service experience
• experience in a Funeral Home setting is highly desirable
• ability to be on call to work evening hours and Saturdays is a must
• bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• a practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred
• must be familiar with and be able to subscribe to Catholic principles and teachings
