Job summary

The Domestic Violence Service Center in Luzerne County seeks a Part-Time Fundraising Development Coordinator to advance funding for DVSC programs through donor relations, events, and public awareness.

You will identify funding sources, manage donor databases, develop awareness campaigns, coordinate board and staff activities, and assist with grant proposals and community outreach in support of DVSC’s services for women and families.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Communications, Marketing, Social Work, Nonprofit Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ successful experience in fund-raising and public relation.
• Outstanding verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and public speaking.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds, especially women and children.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with new funding sources.
• Assess market needs and funding trends in Luzerne and Carbon Counties.
• Develop and implement short and long range fund raising and public relations strategies.
• Develop budgets, prepare remarks, and organize fundraising events.
