We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver (NEMT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient non-emergency transportation services to clients who require assistance getting to and from various destinations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a clean driving record, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. If you are passionate about servicing people in the Omaha and Iowa area who are in need of transportation to and from doctors' appointments, grocery store runs, etc., you are welcome to apply! At A-LIFE Medical Transport, we are extremely invested and passionate about our clients. Their safety and comfort is extremely important to us. Our clients are used to a specific standard from us, and we are looking for candidates who will uphold that standard enthusiastically! MUST HAVE A VALID NEBRASKA LICENSE.

If you have great customer service skills, love to interact with people on occasion, are punctual with experience driving or willing to be trained efficiently, this is the position for you with lots of future opportunity for growth in the company!

Driving Record:

  1. MUST BE 26+ TO DRIVE OUR VEHICLES
  2. NO HISTORY OF DUI/DWI
  3. NO TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS (even if you are not at fault)
  4. NO SPEEDING TICKETS
  5. NO FELONIES

Responsibilities:

  1. Safely transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and other destinations in a timely manner.
  2. Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
  3. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
  4. Follow all traffic laws and regulations, adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm pick-up and drop-off locations, address any special requests or accommodations, and provide assistance as needed.
  6. Keep accurate records of mileage, trip details, and client information for billing and reporting purposes.
  7. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy at all times, providing a positive and welcoming experience for clients.
  8. Handle any unexpected situations or emergencies calmly and efficiently, prioritizing the safety and well-being of clients.
  9. Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules, optimize routes, and ensure efficient service delivery.
  10. Uphold confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients, maintaining professionalism and discretion in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  3. Previous experience in transportation, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  4. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning well as part of a team.
  7. Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  8. Physical ability to assist clients with mobility challenges and lift or maneuver equipment as necessary.
  9. Commitment to providing compassionate and reliable transportation services to individuals in need.

Part Time Schedule: MAY VARY with opportunity for more hours or PER RIDE pay! We are open Monday - Friday with some occasional rides on Saturdays!

  1. Part Time Early Morning Shift - 4:30AM-9:00AM
  2. Part Time Day Shift - 2:30PM-6:30PM
  3. Part Time Late Morning Shift - 10:00AM-2:00PM

Full Time Schedule: BASED ON YOUR AVAILABILITY and must be willing to work 35-40 hour weeks at least! 30 mins- 1hr lunch break is included in the hours below! We are open Monday - Friday with some occasional rides on Saturdays!

  1. Full Time Early Morning Shift - 4:30AM-1:30PM
  2. Full Time Morning Shift - 7:00AM-3:00PM
  3. Full Time Late Morning Shift - 9:30AM-6:30PM
