Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manage the front desk by taking calls, receiving visitors, and recording attendance.
• Communicate breakfast and lunch counts daily with our partnering school.
• Pickup and deliver meals from partner school to CCA.
• Carry food inside school building and set up for lunch, including portioning and cleanup.
• Ensure adherence to CDC, CCA, and SC guidelines.
• Provide courteous, supportive service to all CCA families.
• Communicate openly, honestly, with families, scholars, and staff.
• Attend school-wide functions and community events as requested.
• Perform other duties to support the school's mission.

School Overview

Compass Collegiate Academy (CCA) is a new public charter school that opened in Charleston, South Carolina with grades K-1 in August of 2021. The school will add a grade each year thereafter until it is a full K-8 school serving approximately 720 scholars. CCA has intentionally built its school model and structured its budget to ensure that the student body is representative of the student population in North Charleston and the Charleston peninsula, the school’s geographic target area. Role Expectations

CCA is looking for dedicated professionals to support school operations with daily attendance entry, front desk support, lunch pick up and distribution. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid driver's license, be willing to use their vehicle to pick up school food daily, experience working with children, and be committed to CCA's mission and values.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage the front desk by taking calls, receiving visitors, assisting with late sign-in, and record attendance.
• Communicate breakfast and lunch counts daily with our partnering school
• Pick up breakfast and lunch daily from our partner school and deliver the food to CCA
• Carry food inside school building and set up for lunch, including laying out the appropriate number of lunches, setting up milk and fruit, and the put away all extra food at the conclusion of lunch.
• Ensure adherence to CDC,CCA, and SC guidelines
• Provide "Red Carpet" customer service to all CCA families
• Communicate openly, honestly, regularly, and effectively with families, scholars, and CCA staff
• Attend school wide functions and community events as requested.

CCA team members will perform other duties as required to achieve the school’s mission.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in teaching or managing students.
• Experience in a role that requires attention to detail.
• Evidence of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player.
• Experience working with a culturally diverse student body preferred.

Compensation

Compensation begins at $17/hour
