Job summary

Food Lion in Tifton, GA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver fast, friendly service at the front end. You will greet customers, scan orders, handle payments and help maintain a clean, efficient checkout area.

The role emphasizes courteous service, accurate cash handling, and the ability to assist customers with loading orders to their vehicles when needed. Previous cashier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and POS operations.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt for easy bagging
• Check the bottom of every cart and under baby seats for items before completing an order
• Follow bagging procedures and proper use of bags
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice
• Follow procedures for refunds, errors, and cash handling
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car
• Maintain front end area neat and clean; report issues to management
