Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Co. in Tulsa, OK is hiring a part-time cashier to engage with customers, provide efficient checkout services, bag groceries, and help locate products while maintaining accurate tender procedures.

You'll gain experience with card and cash transactions, learn our policies, and contribute to a clean, safe store environment. Must be at least 16 years old; TABC/LACT certification may be required where applicable; flexible scheduling including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cash register and tender procedures.
• Ability to perform quick math and give correct change.
• Strong customer-service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Maintain a correct money count in the register at all times.
• Greet customers, answer questions, locate and promote products.
• Assist customers with sign up where applicable (Thank You Card program).
• Bag groceries properly and ensure receipt of all items.
• Keep front-end areas stocked, clean and presentable.
• Follow safety policies and comply with laws for restricted items.
