Job summary

The GIANT Company in State College, PA is seeking a team member to bag items at checkout, restock shelves, retrieve carts, and maintain front-end cleanliness. The position supports store operations across our PA, MD, VA, WV, and NJ markets.

You will join a team that values care, teamwork, and community. The role requires reliable attendance and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is an entry-level POS/retail associate role with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift, check equipment and supplies required to perform duties, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties.
• Collect trash, take trash to the compactor, and operate the compactor.
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors and work areas clean, and sweep every hour.
• Collect, stack, and push carts back to the front-end of the store.
• Demonstrate good customer service skills.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
