Job summary

A leading hospitality company is seeking a Guest Service Associate to provide exceptional service to guests. Job Responsibilities
  1. Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner.
  2. Provide the highest level of service to guests.
  3. Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special requests.
  4. Assist guests by knowing hotel property details, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
  5. Work as a team player to meet guest needs and contribute to other departments when necessary.
  6. Understand and follow the company guest service recovery program.
  7. Utilize proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues.
  8. Monitor room availability, adhere to restrictions, and follow booking policies and procedures.
  9. Drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
  10. Handle cash and process financial transactions following company procedures.
  11. Properly use all equipment and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
  12. Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to meet volume requirements.
  13. Follow company general work rules, department procedures, and policies.
  14. Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
  15. Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with regulations.
  16. Follow procedures for guest and associate incidents.
  17. Be knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of prior guest service experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, customer-focused, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
