Job summary

SIMKHAI is seeking a creative, self-directed Content Creator for an in-office, part-time freelance role (20 hrs/week). You’ll be embedded in our studio and on set, capturing the day-to-day life of the brand—from design to finished looks—and translating it into compelling Instagram and TikTok content, with a luxury lens.

You’ll shoot and edit short-form video, capture BTS moments, and collaborate with our creative and marketing teams on content calendars and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of fashion or lifestyle social content.
• Fluency with Instagram and TikTok and understanding of platform trends.
• Strong eye for light, composition and styling details.
• Comfortable shooting handheld and self-directing on set.
• Proficient with CapCut, Adobe Premiere or similar.
• Based in LA and available to come in-house Monday-Friday 9A-6P; flexible schedule.
• Comfortable on camera as brand ambassador.

Responsibilities

SIMKHAI is searching for a creative and self-directed Content Creator to join us in-office on a part-time freelance basis (20 hrs/week). You'll be embedded in our studio and on set, capturing the day-to-day life of the brand — from the design process to finished looks — and translating it into compelling content across Instagram and TikTok. The right person will also be comfortable stepping in front of the camera as a face of SIMKHAI, wearing the collection and bringing it to life on social.

What You'll Do:

• Shoot and edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok, including styling, BTS, and lifestyle formats
• Capture behind-the-scenes moments during fittings, shoots, and studio life
• Develop content that feels native to each platform while staying true to the SIMKHAI aesthetic
• Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams on content calendars and seasonal campaigns
• Stay on top of trends and bring fresh ideas to the table — while always editing them through a luxury lens
• Potentially appear on camera as a brand ambassador—wearing SIMKHAI pieces, hosting try-ons, and representing the brand's aesthetic and values

What We're Looking For:

• A strong portfolio of fashion or lifestyle social content (please include your handles or a reel)
• Fluency in both Instagram and TikTok — you understand what performs and why
• A sharp eye for light, composition, and styling details
• Comfortable shooting handheld and self-directing on set
• Proficient in editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
• Someone who works with urgency and takes direction well, but doesn't need to be micromanaged
• Based in LA and available to come in-house regularly Monday-Friday between 9A-6P (must have flexible schedule)
• Comfortable and confident on camera when required—you have a natural presence and can model the collection authentically
